Oprah Winfrey, October 2005, in announcing her Oprah's Child Predator Watch List: "The children of this nation are being stolen, raped, tortured and killed by sexual predators who are walking right into your homes. I have had enough. With every breath in my body, whatever it takes and, most importantly, with you by my side, we are going to move heaven and earth to stop an evil that's been going on for far too long."
Joseph B., parent, requesting GTXC product information, June 6, 2007: "Looking forward to seeing your company corner the industry on research and marketing of a wearable location device (realtime) for children and women that are risks for abduction. Maybe that can be activated in a crisis situation etc. I can't stand hearing about another teen or young woman being abducted every other day on CNN and local network outlets. If your as cutting edge as I've heard and hope, maybe GTXC will be the one to turn the James Bond techno gadgets of the past, a reality of mammoth proportion. Imagine a 12yr old girl scared beyond comprehension after abduction, and your innovative technology gets her back in 20min. Your stock would go through the roof. As I'm writing this I'm listening about the missing suburban Kansas City teen, Police found a body in the area where they were looking for the teenager who has been missing for four days after apparently being abducted from a department store parking lot. Your technology can prevent this from ever happening. but it does need to be as affordable as possible. I have ideas as well. I want to get something for my niece and nephew ASAP!
Christina M., parent requesting GTXC product information, December 11, 2005: “I am a mother who is interested in purchasing the tracking shoes for my child. Are the shoes available for purchase at this time and could you send me any additional information you have regarding the shoes?”
Ryan B., parent, requesting GTXC product information, March 13, 2006: “I am a proud parent of 5 little ones and would be very interesting in your products. In today's world, I would feel a whole lot better knowing exactly where my kids are at all times.”
David S., parent, requesting GTXC product information, April 15, 2006: “Recently, my 2 ½ year old child managed to elude the presence of his Godfather & I while in a mall-park, and made his way into an elevator and on to another floor while attempting to follow the Easter Bunny! I am interested in your product simply for the issue listed above.”
Trina Dean, parent, on purchase of GPS tracking devices for her children, in San Francisco Chronicle August 19, 2002: "I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if something were to happen and I knew about these devices, no matter what the cost. It just seemed to us it was worth putting (the purchase) on a credit card and knowing we've done everything we can to keep them safe."
Lynn Neary, National Public Radio host, on Talk of the Nation February 5, 2004, commenting on a recent child abduction: "Parents across the nation are again faced with fears for their own children, and a tough dilemma: how to teach them to avoid abduction without making them afraid of the world they are just learning to explore."
S. Chittock, parent, unsolicited message to GTX Sept 4, 2005: "We have a 10 year old autistic child who runs off, I love the idea of the shoe."
David Gomillion, parent, commenting on GPS tracking for children in Salon.com article, July 26, 2005: "Like it or not, these products are a necessary fact of the kind of world we live in."
Tim Sylvester, parent. I am the father of a 13 year old Autistic son who recently ran away from home. It took us about an hour to track him down, luckily we did. However, I fear this might happen again and we may not be so lucky. After scouring the INTERNET for ways to track with today's technology and came across your website. Nik is very particular about what he will wear and what he will carry, but this sneaker idea may be what we, and many other families in our situation would need.
Emiy Silverness, parent, April 18, 2007. I am searching your site for prices on products. Can't find. Do you have a catalog or something? I'm looking for gps location device for a child that's young enough where cell phones aren't allowed in schools, would probably lose it if she had it anyways, and realistically wouldn't most kidnappers take away a cell phone?- but a shoe- now that was a good idea! Probably more likely to wear out than a watch or bracelet though.
Misty A Courtemanche, parent, April 24, 2007. I have a 12 year old son with autism and I am in desperate need of a way to keep track of him. He has no safety awareness and will bolt. I almost lost him in a river this past weekend so I can not say how much this product is needed for him and his family.
